VastuCam may process the following information depending on the features you use:

• Camera images and scan images: photos captured or uploaded for Vastu analysis, object detection, annotated results, and floor plan analysis.
• Location and direction data: latitude, longitude, approximate address, compass heading, magnetic strength, and device orientation when location or compass features are used.
• Building profile data: premise type, premise name, guided scan category, sub-category, scan status, and local scan history.
• Chat content: questions, optional attached images, and AI responses when you use Ask Vastu Bot or scan follow-up chat.
• Device and diagnostic data: basic app performance, error, and crash information used to improve reliability.
• Subscription or credit information: purchase status, renewal information, and AI credit usage if paid features are enabled.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide AI-powered Vastu scan, guided scan, compass, floor plan, and chat features.
• Generate annotated images, Vastu reports, remedies, and scan history.
• Show premise-specific Vastu sentiment and scan results.
• Support language preferences such as English, Hindi, and Hinglish.
• Improve app quality, diagnose problems, and prevent misuse.
• Process subscription, entitlement, and AI credit usage where applicable.

3. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

Some images, scan details, prompts, and chat messages may be sent to secure backend services and AI providers, including OpenAI, to generate object detection, Vastu analysis, chat responses, and reports. We may also use Google services such as Google Play, Firebase, Android location APIs, and crash or diagnostic tools.

Third-party services process data according to their own privacy and security practices. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Camera, Photos, and Gallery

Camera access is used only when you choose to capture a scan or floor plan. Gallery or storage access may be used when you choose to upload an image or save/share an annotated image. VastuCam does not access your camera or gallery in the background.

5. Location and Compass

Location permission is used to show latitude, longitude, approximate address, and true heading where available. If you deny location permission, some location-based features may not work, but basic compass and scan features may still be available.

6. Data Storage and Retention

Scan results and building profiles may be stored locally on your device so you can view them later in My Scans. Data sent for AI analysis is used to provide the requested feature. We retain data only as needed to provide app functionality, improve service reliability, comply with legal obligations, or resolve support requests.

7. Sharing

You may choose to share annotated images or exported reports through apps such as WhatsApp, email, or other sharing tools. Sharing is controlled by you and handled by the selected app.

8. Children

VastuCam is intended for general home and property guidance and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Your Choices

• You can deny camera or location permissions, though some features may not work.
• You can delete saved scans or app data from the app or Android system settings.
• You can change your language preference in the app profile section.
• You can contact us to request help with privacy-related questions.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
